ARRI/Zeiss 150mm Master Prime Cinema Lens (PL Mount, Metric Measurement)

The ARRI/Zeiss 150mm Master Prime, a part of a series of 16 exceptional lenses, features excellent resolution, superior contrast, nearly non-existent breathing, and a quick T1.3 aperture for creating shallow depth-of-field. The range of Master Primes, spanning from 12mm to 150mm, showcases the renowned skin tones and color rendering that Zeiss is famous for, and are harmonized for color consistency throughout the set. These lenses are designed with an iris boasting at least nine blades for cinema-worthy bokeh and a gradual focus drop-off. Dual floating components contribute to supreme close-focus performance while keeping breathing at minimum when focusing. The T*XP coating is designed to cut down on reflections and glare whilst boosting contrast. Constructed with aspherical elements to reduce chromatic aberration to a minimum, the ARRI/Zeiss Master Primes deliver optimum image quality and pure chroma-keying. High-resolution quality is sustained in picture corners even at wide open apertures and close focusing distances. Every lens carries a PL mount and is equipped with an in-built LDS system for conveying lens data to compatible cameras. The extended focus scale provides sufficient room for marks and is furnished with fluorescent engravings to aid viewing in dimly-lit situations. The focus ring carries markings in both feet and metric units; switching between the two measurement scales is possible through a qualified shop technician. This 150mm Master Prime Lens sports a 4' 11" minimum focus distance, focus indicators set in meters, weighs a fairly light 8.8 pounds, and comes in a handy length of 8.3". This lens series features consistent placement of focus, iris, and zoom rings to facilitate the use of follow focus, zoom control, and F/I/Z wireless systems. Although most Master Primes come with a standard 114mm front diameter, the more extended 150mm version has a front diameter of 134mm.
