Tailored for the cinematic industry, the Leitz Summicron-C 100mm Lens offers a robust stainless steel PL mounting system and is a lighter, more compact option compared to the acclaimed Summilux-C lenses. With a focal length double that of a standard lens, it excels in various scenarios including stabilized sequences, airborne filming, and 3D production. Compatability extends to several camera sensors larger than Super 35, owing to its ample 36mm image circle. Uniform T2.0 maximum aperture across the line-up ensures exposure consistency when interchanging Summicron-C lenses. Focus and iris rings are uniformly geared, facilitating lens swaps without disrupting focus or lens control rigs. The internal focus technology prevents the front element from rotating, ideal for matte box use. Meticulously spread focus indicators and a wide 300° focus rotation endow precise focusing. A standardized 95mm front diameter among Summicron-C lenses promotes consistency with the exception of the 15mm and 135mm models.
