Nikon D780 Out Now

Nikon has just released the new Nikon D780. We've been expecting this camera release for a little while now, so this isn't a huge surprise. The Nikon D780 is being touted as a DSLR that can work as a hybrid stills and video camera. Check out the specs this camera is offering below.

The Nikon D780 - a comeback for DSLRs

The Nikon D780 has a nice range of features, and is relatively inexpensive. You can get high resolution stills and videos with the robust 24.5MP sensor. The sensor features a BSI design to help when working in a wide variety of lighting conditions.

The Nikon D780 also features a large 3.2" tilting touchscreen LCD. All-in-all the D780 is a versatile DSLR with fast readout speeds, good resolution, and good low light performance. The camera also sports a 273-point hybrid AF system. The built-in microphone will work well enough for some users. However, there is a 3.5mm stereo jack for utilizing higher quality audio equipment. Live monitoring is also possible via the headphone jack.

Maybe not as groundbreaking as other similarly-priced cameras, the Nikon D780 has some pretty nice features. For those that are more comfortable with a DSLR, this may be a great choice.
