This lens boasts an apochromatic design that employs elements with anomalous partial dispersion to virtually negate color aberrations. Additionally, the utilization of one high refractive index aspherical element greatly reduces spherical aberrations. A unique floating element adjusts to retain high resolution across the entire focusing spectrum, down to its minimum distance of 2.3 feet (0.7 meters). This compact optic also integrates an extendable hood to protect against flare and accepts 49mm filters.
