DJI has placed a
countdown timer on their site that shows the apparent release of the Mavic Air 2. "Up Your Game" is what DJI is calling this timer, and it will complete on 4/27/20 at 9:30 PM EDT. The image shows what appears to be the top of a drone.
You can see the props to either side as well as the green glowing lights. According to unlimitedrone.com the official name for the upcoming drone has been confirmed as
DJI Mavic Air 2.
What We Know About the Mavic Air 2
Apparently there will be two models of drone to be released. These are the MA2UE1N and the MA2UE3W. According to unlimitedrone.com, the 3W version will have ADS-B hardware installed. This hardware enables tracking of the drone.
DJI has also confirmed that there will be a new remote controller for the Mavic Air 2. This remote has a built-in heat sink, which indicated that it will have it's own computing power. We're unsure what this means exactly right now, but it seems to indicate a more powerful controller. There is speculation that we might be seeing OcuSync 2.0 in the controller.
