This little light is only about 3" x 2", but wow! Perfect for popping on the top of your camera for run-and-gun filmmaking. Or you can use the Lume Cube Panel Mini as an accent light for a variety of scenarios. The
Mini Panel also has variable color temperatures from 3200 - 5600 Kelvin.
More Stats for the Lume Cube Panel Mini
In addition to the variable color temperatures, the Mini Panel offers a dimming range of 1% up to 100% (in 5% increments.) The Panel has a small form factor with an LCD on the back that displays your settings.
About the Panel
The Lume Cube Panel Mini is a pocket-sized, portable, adjustable bicolor LED Light for Content Creation. Key features include 1% - 100% brightness adjustability, 3200k - 5600k color adjustability, built-in display screen showing all key indicators (color temp, brightness, run time, etc), 2 ¼” 20 tripod mounts, frosted lens for built-in diffuser, additional diffuser included, as thin as an iphone, light weight (85 grams)
A blue power button on the side of the panel turns the unit on just like the original panel. Use this blue button to switch between the brightness percentage and color temperature. There is a dial wheel on the side of the panel to adjust the brightness or color temperature. You can place the shoe mount on the bottom of the Lume Cube Panel Mini or on the side. This is nice considering the original panel only provided mount placement on the bottom. This way you can place the light vertically to more closely match the shape of your head when doing talking head vlogging segments. You can even use it as a light for your smartphone as shown below.
Compared to the Original Lume Cube Panel
The Mini is (you guessed it)
much smaller than the original. However, it surprisingly has a similar light output. Now, it doesn't have quite the reach of the original, but it still holds it's own. Considering this is a small accent light, we think the difference is negligible. The Mini is small enough to slip right in your pocket and be on your way. It takes up virtually no space in your gear bag, but it can make all the difference if you need just a pop of light.
