Lens Overview — Cambo ACTAR-90

The Cambo ACTAR-90 is a 90mm prime lens built for use with technical cameras, mounting via a Lens Board (Technical Camera) interface. Designed with large format coverage in mind and rated for medium format camera systems, it offers a standard focal length perspective at a maximum aperture of f/4. The lens is entirely manual focus, with no autofocus or image stabilization, placing full creative control in the hands of the photographer.

Weighing just 325g, it is a relatively compact option for technical camera use. The 40.5mm filter thread size allows for straightforward filter integration. As a prime lens with a fixed 90mm focal length, the ACTAR-90 is well-suited to photographers who value precision and deliberate shooting technique over speed.

Its Lens Board (Technical Camera) mount makes it purpose-built for the technical camera ecosystem, where movements and precise framing are central to the workflow. The manual-only operation is entirely in keeping with the methodical, considered approach that large format and technical camera photography typically demands, making this lens a focused, no-compromise tool for its intended use.
