Lens Overview — Canon RF 1.4x
Key Features — Canon RF 1.4x
1.4x Focal Length Extension: Multiplies the effective focal length of compatible RF lenses by 1.4x, adding meaningful reach without purchasing an additional telephoto lens.
Autofocus Retained: Full electronic communication through the RF mount keeps autofocus operational, so photographers do not need to switch to manual focus when the extender is attached.
Canon RF Mount: Designed exclusively for the Canon RF mirrorless system, ensuring native compatibility with full-frame RF-mount bodies and supported lenses.
Full-Frame Coverage: Engineered to cover the full-frame image circle, making it suitable for Canon's full-frame RF mirrorless lineup without vignetting on compatible lenses.
1-Stop Light Reduction: A 1.4x teleconverter reduces the maximum aperture by one stop, a predictable tradeoff to account for when shooting in lower light.
Lightweight at 225g: At just 225g, the extender adds minimal weight to an existing lens and body combination, keeping the overall kit manageable for field use.

Description — Canon RF 1.4x
The Canon Extender RF 1.4x is built for Canon's RF mount mirrorless system, designed to work with compatible full-frame RF-mount lenses. One of its key practical advantages is that it preserves autofocus functionality — the specifications confirm auto focus support, meaning photographers don't have to sacrifice AF performance when adding reach to their setup. At 225g, the extender is light enough to be a low-impact addition to an existing lens and camera combination.
It is designed exclusively for the Canon RF mount, ensuring full electronic integration with compatible RF lenses and Canon mirrorless bodies. Image stabilization is not present in the extender itself, as the specifications indicate None for image stabilization. There is no filter thread on this unit.
For photographers shooting with Canon's RF mirrorless system who need additional focal length reach, this extender offers autofocus-compatible performance within a lightweight, RF-native package.
