Description — Canon 50mm f/3.5 Macro
The Canon FD 50mm f/3.5 Macro is a manual focus prime lens built around the Canon FD mount system, designed to cover a full frame imaging circle on compatible SLR bodies. With a 50mm focal length sitting in the standard range, it balances versatility with the close-up capability expected from a macro designation. The maximum aperture of f/3.5 gives photographers a solid working aperture for controlled lighting situations.
The lens accepts 52mm filters, a widely available size that makes it easy to find compatible circular polarizers, ND filters, and more. At just 220g, this is a genuinely compact and travel-friendly lens that is easy to mount and carry without fatigue. Image stabilization is listed as None, so steady technique or a tripod is recommended for the sharpest close-up results.
The manual focus operation means shooters have full, deliberate control over focus — an attribute well-suited to the careful, methodical nature of macro photography.
