The Canon PowerShot E1 is a 10MP point-and-shoot camera built around a 1/2.3-inch sensor, capturing images at up to 3648x2736 pixels. Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) helps keep shots sharp during handheld use. The autofocus system combines Contrast Detection with Face Detection AF across 9 focus points, making it easy to lock focus on people in a variety of situations.

The body is constructed from plastic, weighs 160g, and measures 101 x 64 x 32 mm, fitting comfortably in a pocket. Power comes from 2x AA batteries delivering approximately 220 shots per charge. Storage is via SD and SDHC cards, with USB connectivity for offloading images.
