Description — Contax 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 Vario-Sonnar T*
The Contax 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 Vario-Sonnar T* is a full-frame zoom lens built around the Contax N mount, offering a focal length span from 28mm to 80mm — a standard zoom range suited to a variety of everyday shooting situations. With a maximum aperture of f/3.5 at the wide end, the lens provides a workable starting point for available-light work, though exposure will need adjustment as the zoom extends toward the longer end of the range. The lens supports both autofocus and manual focus operation, offering flexibility depending on the situation and camera body in use.
At 420g, it strikes a practical balance between coverage and portability. The 67mm filter thread makes it compatible with a broad selection of accessory filters. Note that image stabilization is not included, so technique and shutter speed selection are important considerations when shooting handheld.
This lens is designed for DSLR camera systems using the Contax N mount — confirm compatibility with your body before purchase.
