Description — Contax RTS
The Contax RTS is a 35mm film SLR built on a full-frame 35mm format, with image resolution determined entirely by your choice of film stock. The body is constructed with a metal chassis and titanium top cover, measuring 142 x 89.5 x 50 mm and weighing 700g — a solid, confidence-inspiring build that feels purposeful in the hand. Lens mounting uses the Contax/Yashica mount standard, connecting the body to that system's range of optics.
Composing and focusing is done through an optical pentaprism SLR viewfinder, with all focus adjustments handled manually. Film sensitivity is set across a range of ISO 12 to 3200, giving you flexibility across a broad spectrum of emulsions. For flash work, the camera provides a direct X contact hot shoe with anti-shock provision and a PC sync socket, both operating at an X-sync speed of 1/60 sec.
Power is supplied by a 6V silver oxide or alkaline battery — compatible formats include the Eveready 544, Mallory PX28, and alkaline Eveready 537. There is no weather sealing and no image stabilization system of any kind.
