Description — Fujifilm JZ100
The Fujifilm FinePix JZ100 is a compact point-and-shoot built for straightforward everyday use. Its 14MP sensor sits on a 1/2.3-inch sensor with an ISO range of 100 to 1600, providing a reasonable exposure latitude for a camera in this class. Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) is on board to counteract camera shake during handheld shots. The 2.7-inch fixed LCD with 230,000 dots handles all framing duties, as there is no viewfinder.
The autofocus system combines Contrast Detection with Face Detection AF and subject tracking, making it particularly suited to photographing people. The built-in flash covers five modes: Auto, On, Off, Slow Sync, and Red-Eye Reduction. Storage is flexible, with support for SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards.
Video tops out at 30fps in 8-bit color. The metal body weighs just 129g and measures 100 x 56 x 24mm, making it genuinely pocketable. Battery life is rated at approximately 250 shots from the NP-45A Lithium-Ion cell.
Burst shooting is available at 1.2 frames per second for basic action capture.
