Description — Fujifilm FinePix S9600
The Fujifilm FinePix S9600 is a 9-megapixel fixed-lens point-and-shoot camera that balances accessible operation with a thoughtful feature set. Images are captured at a maximum resolution of 3488x2616 pixels, with color profile options including Standard, Chrome, and Black & White for creative flexibility in-camera. The camera's contrast detection AF system uses a single central focus point to lock onto subjects quickly, while the ISO range of 80–1600 handles a variety of lighting conditions.
For framing shots, photographers can choose between a 2.0-inch tilting LCD at 235,000 dots or the Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) — also at 235,000 dots — particularly useful when shooting in bright sunlight. Burst shooting is supported, with a maximum burst rate of 1.5fps. The body is made from plastic with metal components, measures 128 x 93 x 129 mm, and weighs 650g.
A standard ISO hot shoe sits atop the body alongside a built-in pop-up flash. Power is supplied by 4x AA batteries with an estimated 300–400 shots per charge, and storage uses CompactFlash media with USB connectivity for transfers. Note that there is no image stabilization and no wireless connectivity on this model.
