Camera Overview — Fujifilm X-E5
Key Features — Fujifilm X-E5
40MP X-Trans BSI CMOS Sensor: The 40-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor uses Fujifilm's non-Bayer X-Trans color filter array, which reduces moiré without relying solely on an optical low-pass filter and produces highly detailed files at native ISOs from 125 to 12800.
5-Axis In-Body Stabilization: The sensor-shift IS system provides up to 7 stops of shake correction (CIPA-rated), making handheld shooting at slow shutter speeds practical for both stills and video.
Phase-Detect AF to -7 EV: The phase-detect autofocus system covers near 100% of the frame with 675 selectable points and maintains lock down to -7 EV in low light, enabling reliable focus in very dark conditions.
Multi-Subject Detection AF: Built-in subject recognition identifies animals, birds, cyclists, aircraft, and trains in addition to human faces and eyes, automatically prioritizing and tracking the detected subject.
6.2K Internal Video, 10-Bit: The camera records up to 6.2K/30P internally at bitrates up to 360 Mbps in 10-bit H.265 or H.264, with F-Log support for flexible color grading in post-production.
20 fps Electronic Shutter: The electronic shutter reaches 1/180,000 sec and sustains 20 fps continuous shooting with a 66-frame raw buffer, while the mechanical shutter offers 8 fps with a 300,000-actuation rating.
