Description — Kodak EasyShare DX7440
The Kodak EasyShare DX7440 is a compact point-and-shoot camera built on a 4MP, 1/2.5-inch sensor powered by Kodak Color Science image processing. It produces stills at up to 2304x1728 pixels across five color profiles — High color, Natural color, Low color, Black & White, and Sepia — giving photographers some in-camera creative latitude. A burst mode fires at up to 3 frames per second for action moments.
The 2.2-inch fixed LCD at 153,000 pixels handles image review and composition, backed by an optical viewfinder as an alternative. Autofocus uses contrast detection across 3 zones, and a built-in flash with Auto, Fill, and Red-Eye Reduction modes handles tricky lighting. The ISO range runs 80–800, and the body provides Digital/Electronic IS for shake reduction.
For video, the camera records at up to 640x480 at 30fps in 8-bit quality. Storage uses SD cards or internal memory, with USB connectivity for transfers. The KLIC-5000 lithium-ion battery delivers roughly 250 shots per charge, housed in a plastic body with metal accents weighing just 220g.
