Description — Leica D-LUX 2
The Leica D-Lux 2 packages an 8MP sensor into a body built from clear anodized aluminum that measures just 102 x 57 x 25 mm and tips the scales at 198g — making it one of the more pocketable options for photographers who want quality in a small footprint. The 1/1.7-inch sensor captures stills at up to 3264x2448 pixels, with a choice of four in-camera color profiles: Standard, Vivid, Natural, and Black & White. The 2.5-inch TFT LCD with 207,000 dots handles composition and review duties, as no viewfinder is fitted.
Autofocus uses contrast detection with a single focus point. ISO spans 80 to 400. For video, the camera reaches 720p at 30fps in 8-bit.
Connectivity is via USB, with neither Wi-Fi nor Bluetooth on board. Storage runs on SD cards, and a built-in pop-up flash handles fill lighting. The BP-DC6 battery is rated for approximately 250 shots per charge.
