Description — Leica D-LUX 5
The Leica D-Lux 5 is a compact point-and-shoot camera featuring a 10MP, 1/1.7-inch sensor paired with an ISO range of 80 to 3200, giving it meaningful low-light headroom for its class. The metal body measures 10.9 x 6.6 x 4.3 cm and weighs 269.3g, keeping the package genuinely pocketable without sacrificing build quality. Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) helps manage camera shake during handheld shooting. The autofocus system uses contrast detection across 23 focus points, and burst shooting is available at 2.5 fps.
The rear 3-inch LCD with 460,000 dots of resolution serves as the primary composition and review surface. Still images can be captured using three color profiles — Standard, Vivid, and B&W — while video records at up to 720p at 30fps. The camera accepts SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards and is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery rated for approximately 400 shots.
A built-in flash is included, with an optional hot shoe for external accessories.
