Description — Leica D-LUX
The Leica D-Lux is a compact point-and-shoot camera built into an aluminium alloy body weighing 204g and measuring 121 x 52 x 34 mm — genuinely shirt-pocket friendly. At its heart is a 4MP, 1/2.5-inch sensor capable of capturing stills at up to 2240x1680 pixels. The ISO range of 50 to 400 keeps things clean in good light, and burst shooting reaches 4 frames per second.
Composition is handled via either the optical viewfinder or the 1.5-inch TFT LCD with 114,000 dots of resolution. The onboard flash carries a guide number of 9.8 at ISO 100, covering a range of flash modes including Auto, Red-eye Reduction, Slow Sync, Forced On, and Forced Off. Seven color profiles — Standard, Vivid, Natural, Black & White, Sepia, Cool, and Warm — are available for in-camera creative expression.
Autofocus uses passive TTL contrast detection, with normal or spot field selection. The Li-Ion BP-DC2-J / DMW-BCA7 battery delivers approximately 200 shots per charge, and images are saved to SD cards.
