Description — Leica MD
The Leica MD is a 24MP full-frame (35mm) digital rangefinder camera that takes a radically stripped-back approach to digital photography. With no rear LCD display whatsoever, there is no image review, no live view, and no on-body menu navigation — the act of shooting becomes purely forward-facing. It accepts Leica M mount lenses and relies entirely on manual focus, making it a camera that demands intentionality at every step.
The sensor resolves up to 5976x3992 pixels, with an ISO range of 200 to 6400 for flexibility across lighting conditions. The magnesium alloy body measures 138 x 42 x 80 mm and weighs 680g, giving it a solid, compact feel. Storage uses SD, SDHC, or SDXC cards, and the Leica BP-SCL5 battery is rated for approximately 600 shots per charge.
A Leica Standard TTL hotshoe is available for compatible flash units. Note that no weather sealing is present, and connectivity is limited to USB with no wireless options.
