Description — Nikon 18.5mm f/1.8
The Nikon 1 Nikkor 18.5mm f/1.8 is a prime lens built for the CX Format Nikon 1 mirrorless camera system. With a maximum aperture of f/1.8, it gives photographers meaningful control over exposure and depth of field rendering. The lens covers a standard focal length range at a fixed 18.5mm, which promotes intentional, considered framing.
Weighing in at a mere 70g, it is an impressively light option that pairs naturally with the compact form factor typical of Nikon 1 bodies. Focus operation supports both Auto and Manual modes, offering flexibility across different shooting scenarios. The 40.5mm filter thread makes it straightforward to attach compatible filters.
It is worth noting that the lens carries no image stabilization, so photographers should factor that into their handheld shooting approach. Compatible exclusively with the Nikon 1 mount, this lens is a purpose-built standard prime for the system.
