Description — Nikon 900s
The Nikon COOLPIX 900S is a vintage point-and-shoot digital camera built around a 2.5MP sensor with a maximum capture resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. Images are recorded in the sRGB color profile to CompactFlash media. The camera includes a 2.0-inch TFT LCD display and an optical tunnel viewfinder, giving shooters two options for composing their shots.
Autofocus is handled via contrast detection with a single focus point. The built-in flash covers multiple modes — Auto, Fill-in, Red-Eye Reduction, Slow, and Off — and a Nikon Speedlight sync terminal allows connection of an external flash. Burst shooting is supported at up to 2 frames per second.
ISO is fixed at 64, so the camera is best suited to bright ambient lighting. The plastic body measures 157 x 75 x 35 mm and weighs 420g, powered by 4x AA batteries (NiMH recommended) for roughly 200 shots per charge. There is no weather sealing, no image stabilization, and no wireless connectivity.
