The Nikon COOLPIX A10 is a compact point-and-shoot camera centered on a 16MP, 1/2.3-inch sensor capable of capturing images at up to 4608x3456 pixels. Its ISO 80–1600 sensitivity range handles a variety of everyday lighting conditions. The camera features a 2.7-inch TFT LCD with 230,000 dots as its sole framing interface — there is no optical or electronic viewfinder.
Autofocus uses contrast detection, and Digital/Electronic image stabilization is on board to help manage camera shake. For video, the A10 records at up to 720p at 30fps. It runs on 2x AA batteries, making it easy to keep powered during travel.
Storage is supported via SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards. A built-in flash is included. The body weighs just 160g and measures 9.64 x 5.94 x 2.89 cm, fitting easily into a pocket or bag.
