Description — Olympus FE-160
The Olympus FE-160 is a metal-bodied point-and-shoot camera weighing just 120g and measuring 90 x 62 x 23 mm — genuinely shirt-pocket portable. Its 1/2.5-inch, 6MP sensor captures stills at up to 2816x2112 pixels in sRGB, making it a straightforward option for everyday snapshots. The 2.5-inch TFT LCD at 230,000 pixels is the sole framing interface, as no viewfinder is present.
Autofocus relies on contrast detection with one center focus point, and there is no image stabilization of any type. The ISO range of 64–320 keeps images relatively clean in daylight but limits usefulness as the light fades. The built-in flash covers Auto, Red-eye reduction, Fill-in, and Off modes for basic lighting control.
Video records at 480p and 15fps. The LI-42B lithium-ion battery is rated for approximately 150 shots per charge. Connectivity is USB only, with no wireless options.
