The Olympus FE-290 is a point-and-shoot compact camera built around a 1/2.5-inch sensor delivering 7MP resolution at up to 3072x2304 pixels. Its 3.0-inch TFT LCD with 234,000 dots dominates the back panel, making it easy to compose shots and review images. The ISO range runs from 64 to 640, and image stabilization is provided digitally via the Digital/Electronic IS system.
Autofocus uses contrast detection with 1 focus point. The built-in flash covers Auto, Red-Eye, Forced, and Off modes. Color profiles available are Standard, High, and Super High.
