Description — Olympus FE-4050
The Olympus FE-4050 is a slim, straightforward point-and-shoot built for everyday casual photography. Its 1/2.3-inch, 12MP sensor is paired with the TruePic III image processor, and framing is handled through a 2.7-inch TFT LCD with 230,000 dots — the sole framing method, as no viewfinder is fitted. The camera's 91.7 x 56.0 x 19.9mm footprint and 112g weight make it easy to slip into a pocket.
An ISO range of 64–1600 covers a variety of lighting scenarios, while Digital/Electronic IS helps reduce blur from camera shake. The autofocus system combines contrast detection, face detection AF, and subject tracking via TTL iESP. Creative shooters will appreciate the seven in-camera color profiles — including Pop Art, Pin Hole, Fisheye, Drawing, Soft Focus, and Punk — for artistic results straight from the camera.
The built-in flash supports Auto, Red-eye reduction, Fill-in, and Off modes. Storage is via SD and SDHC cards, with USB connectivity for offloading images. The LI-42B Lithium-Ion battery is rated at approximately 180 shots per charge (CIPA).
