The Olympus FE-5010 is a 12MP point-and-shoot compact camera featuring a 1/2.3-inch sensor and a proprietary Olympus image processor. Still images are captured at a maximum resolution of 3968x2976 pixels, with color profile options including Standard, Vivid, Natural, and Magic Filters. The autofocus system combines Contrast Detection and Face Detection AF, with support for AF Tracking and subject tracking, making it easier to photograph people and moving subjects.
Stabilization is provided by a Sensor-Shift (IBIS) mechanism alongside digital IS. The ISO range spans 64 to 1600. The 2.7-inch TFT LCD at 230,000 dots is the sole composition and playback interface.
