Description — Olympus PEN E-PL8
The Olympus PEN E-PL8 is a Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera featuring a 16MP sensor and TruePic VII image processor. Its ISO range runs from 100 to 25600, and the autofocus system delivers 81-point Contrast Detection AF with both Face Detection and Eye Detection AF built in. Continuous shooting reaches 8.5fps, and sensor-shift in-body image stabilization (IBIS) helps keep images sharp across a range of conditions.
The 3.0-inch tilting TFT-LCD touchscreen with 1,037,000 dots of resolution makes it easy to shoot from low or high angles with touch control. Video recording tops out at 1080p/30fps with 8-bit color depth and frame rate options of 30fps, 25fps, and 24fps. The body is made from metal and synthetic leatherette, measures 115 x 67 x 38mm, and weighs 357g.
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi and Micro HDMI output. The camera uses a BLS-50 lithium-ion battery rated for approximately 350 shots or 90 minutes of video, and accepts SD, SDHC, and SDXC memory cards. External flash is supported with TTL compatibility.
