The Olympus SP-100 is a point-and-shoot camera featuring a 16MP sensor on a 1/2.3-inch format, processed by the TruePic VII image processor. The ISO range runs from 125 to 6400, and the camera supports burst shooting at up to 7fps with subject tracking via a contrast detection autofocus system covering 9 focus points. Video capture spans frame rates of 60fps, 30fps, 120fps, and 240fps at 8-bit color depth. Image stabilization is provided through a lens-based system with a digital IS option also available. A rich set of color profiles is on board — 13 for stills including i-Enhance, Vivid, Natural, Muted, Portrait, Monotone, Pop Art, Soft Focus, Pale & Light Color, Grainy Film, Pin Hole, Diorama, and Dramatic Tone.
The camera accepts SD, SDHC, SDXC, and internal storage, with Micro HDMI and USB connectivity. The plastic composite body measures 121.2 x 91.3 x 133.2 mm and weighs 589g, powered by the LI-92B lithium-ion battery rated at approximately 330 shots per charge.
