Description — Olympus SP-565UZ
The Olympus SP-565UZ is a point-and-shoot digital camera centered on a 10MP, 1/2.3-inch sensor processed by the TruePic III engine. It supports an ISO range of 64 to 6400, offering meaningful flexibility from bright daylight to lower-light environments. The autofocus system combines Contrast Detection and Face Detection AF across 143 focus points, with optical image stabilization (OIS) — supplemented by digital IS — helping to reduce camera shake.
Framing is done via a 2.5-inch fixed LCD at 230,000 dots or through the built-in Electronic Viewfinder (EVF). A built-in pop-up flash handles basic fill lighting, and USB connectivity enables wired file transfer. The camera shoots stills in a maximum resolution of 3648 x 2736 and records video at up to 480p at 30fps.
It runs on 4x AA batteries (alkaline, NiMH, or lithium), rated for approximately 330 shots per charge on NiMH under CIPA conditions. The plastic body measures 116 x 84 x 81 mm and weighs 413g, with no weather sealing.
