Description — Olympus SP 600 UZ
The Olympus SP 600 UZ is a 12MP point-and-shoot camera equipped with a 1/2.3-inch sensor and the TruePic III image processor, capturing stills at up to 3968x2976 pixels. Its ISO range runs from 100 to 1600, and the autofocus system brings together Contrast Detection and Face Detection AF across 143 focus points, with subject tracking also enabled. A Sensor-Shift (IBIS) system provides in-body image stabilization.
Burst mode runs at up to 10fps, and four color profiles — Standard, Vivid, Natural, and Monotone — give some in-camera creative flexibility. Video tops out at 720p with frame rate choices of 30fps, 24fps, or 15fps in 8-bit depth. The 2.7-inch TFT LCD at 230,000 dots handles all framing duties, as no viewfinder is present.
Storage uses SD and SDHC cards, connectivity includes USB and a proprietary AV output, and a built-in pop-up flash is on board. The plastic body measures 110 x 90 x 91 mm and weighs 455g, with no weather sealing. Power comes from 4 x AA batteries, good for around 180 shots per CIPA ratings.
