The Olympus Stylus 1030 SW is a point-and-shoot compact camera built with outdoor use in mind. Its metal and polycarbonate body measures 93 x 61 x 21 mm and weighs just 203g, making it genuinely pocketable for travel and adventure photography. The water-resistant construction adds confidence when shooting near water or in wet conditions.
Imaging is handled by a 1/2.3-inch sensor at 10MP, with a maximum still resolution of 3648x2736 pixels and an ISO range spanning 80 to 1600. The autofocus system uses contrast detection and face detection AF with multi-area focus points. On the back, a 2.7-inch HyperCrystal II TFT LCD at 230,000 dots serves as the sole framing tool, as no viewfinder is available.
Video recording is supported up to 480p at 30fps or 15fps in 8-bit Standard color. A built-in flash covers low-light needs, and the LI-42B battery delivers approximately 260 shots per charge. Connectivity is handled via USB, with no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth on board.
