Description — Olympus Stylus 5010
The Olympus Stylus 5010 is a point-and-shoot compact camera centered on a 14MP sensor in a 1/2.3-inch format, processed by the TruePic III image processor. Its ISO sensitivity spans 64 to 3200, and both sensor-shift IBIS and digital IS are on board to help counteract camera shake. Autofocus relies on contrast detection with face detection AF and subject tracking enabled, making it particularly suited to casual people photography.
The sole display is a fixed 2.7-inch LCD at 230,000 dots — no viewfinder is present. For creative control, five color profiles are available: Standard, Vivid, Natural, Muted, and Monotone. Video records at up to 30fps at 8-bit depth.
Storage uses SD and SDHC cards, and the camera connects externally via USB. At just 126g and 95 x 56 x 20 mm, the plastic composite body is compact enough to slip into a pocket, though the LI-42B battery is rated for approximately 180 shots per charge under CIPA conditions.
