Description — Olympus Stylus Tough TG-870
The Olympus Stylus Tough TG-870 pairs a 16MP 1/2.3-inch sensor with the TruePic VII image processor inside a weather-sealed body built from double-layer polycarbonate with metal reinforcement. At 113 x 64 x 28 mm and 221g, it travels light without giving up durability. The 3.0-inch TFT LCD tilts a full 180 degrees and resolves 920,000 dots, making it easy to compose shots from low, high, or front-facing angles.
Autofocus is handled by a contrast detection system across 25 points. The ISO range runs from 125 to 6400, and burst shooting reaches 7fps. Video maxes out at 1080p with frame rate options of 30fps, 60fps, 120fps, and 240fps — the higher rates suited to slow-motion applications — all captured at 8-bit color depth.
Digital image stabilization helps compensate for camera shake. The built-in flash covers up to 4.0 meters at ISO 1600, and connectivity includes Wi-Fi, USB, and Micro HDMI output. Storage uses SD, SDHC, or SDXC cards, and the LI-50B battery is rated for around 300 shots per charge.
