The Olympus SZ-31MR iHS is a point-and-shoot compact camera centered on a 16MP, 1/2.3-inch sensor driven by the TruePic VI image processor. ISO sensitivity runs from 80 to 6400, and maximum still resolution reaches 4608x3456 pixels. The camera's burst mode fires at up to 10fps, making it capable of capturing sequences of fast action.
A 3.0-inch LCD touchscreen with 920k-dot resolution handles both composition and menu navigation, and image stabilization is provided via a Digital/Electronic IS system. Video tops out at 1080p at frame rates of 30fps, 25fps, and 24fps, with color profiles including Standard and Vivid. Storage is flexible, accepting SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards, and the camera connects externally via USB.
