The Panasonic LUMIX SZ7 is a compact point-and-shoot camera with a 14MP sensor on a 1/2.3-inch platform, housed in a metal body that measures just 99 x 59 x 21 mm and weighs 133g. The rear 3-inch TFT LCD display delivers 460,000 dots of resolution for clear image framing and playback. For stabilization, the SZ7 employs Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) to help keep shots sharp during handheld use.
The autofocus system uses contrast detection, and burst shooting is supported at up to 10 frames per second. The ISO 100–6400 range provides usable sensitivity across different lighting scenarios. Video is captured at 30fps, and the camera outputs to external screens via Mini HDMI.
Images are stored on SD and SDHC cards, with USB connectivity rounding out the interface options. Battery life stands at 250 shots (CIPA) per charge on its Lithium-Ion battery. Note that Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and weather sealing are not featured on this model.
