The Pentax Optio S45 is a compact point-and-shoot camera with a 4MP sensor housed in a 1/2.5-inch format. For video, the camera records at 640x480 resolution and 15fps in 8-bit depth. ISO sensitivity ranges from 50 to 400. A built-in flash covers a range of 0.2–3.5 m (wide, ISO 200) with Auto, On, Off, and Red-eye reduction modes.
Power comes from 2x AA batteries, with NiMH cells delivering approximately 180 shots per charge. Both SD cards and internal storage are supported, with USB available for file transfer.
