Description — Pentax Q-S1
The Pentax Q-S1 is a compact mirrorless camera built on the Pentax Q lens mount system, pairing a 12.4 MP resolution 1/1.7-inch sensor with the Q Engine image processor in a body that measures just 105 x 58 x 34 mm and weighs 203g. The aluminum alloy with leatherette wrap construction gives the camera a solid, refined feel that belies its small size. Shooting flexibility comes from a native ISO range of 100 to 12800, in-body sensor-shift image stabilization, and a burst rate of up to 5 fps.
Autofocus relies on contrast detection with 25 selectable points. For composition, the 3.0-inch fixed TFT-LCD with 460,000 dots resolution is the sole framing tool — no viewfinder is present. Video reaches 1080p at up to 30fps in 8-bit color.
Eleven creative color profiles — including Bleach Bypass, Reversal Film, and Cross Processing — apply to both stills and video. A built-in pop-up flash rated GN 4.9 at ISO 100 and a standard hot shoe round out the imaging tools, while Micro HDMI (Type D) and USB handle external connectivity.
