Description — RED MX
The RED Scarlet MX Cinema Camera is a Super 35 format camera driven by the RED Mysterium-X image processor and a 14MP sensor. It captures video at up to 5K maximum resolution with support for 24fps, 30fps, 48fps, and 60fps frame rates, making it adaptable across a variety of production demands. Recording is available in REDCODE RAW and ProRes at 16-bit color depth, with REDLOGFilm and HDRx color profiles built in for wide post-production latitude.
The ISO range spans 200 to 3200, and the camera uses a PL Mount for professional cinema lens compatibility. Storage runs exclusively through RED MINI-MAG media. Connectivity options include Mini HDMI, 3.5mm mic input, 3.5mm headphone output, and USB 2.0.
The body is constructed from aluminum alloy, measures 140 x 125 x 120 mm, and weighs 2.2 kg. A 4.7-inch LCD screen at 1280x720 resolution is built in, while a viewfinder is available as an optional accessory. Power is supplied via a V-Mount battery system.
