Description — Ricoh Caplio R1
The Ricoh Caplio R1 is a point-and-shoot compact camera built around a 5MP sensor in a 1/2.5-inch format, with images processed by Ricoh's Smooth Imaging Engine. Maximum still resolution reaches 2560x1920 pixels, and the ISO range runs from 64 to 800. The camera's aluminum body measures 100 x 55 x 25 mm and tips the scales at just 195g, making it a genuinely compact option for everyday carry.
Framing is handled either through the 1.8-inch TFT LCD display — which offers 110,000 dots of resolution — or an optical tunnel viewfinder. Autofocus relies on contrast detection with 5 focus points. Media options include both SD cards and internal storage, and the camera connects to a computer via USB.
A built-in flash is included for low-light situations. Video is recorded at up to 30fps in 8-bit color. The Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery is rated at approximately 330 shots per charge under CIPA conditions.
