Description — Ricoh Caplio R4
The Ricoh Caplio R4 is a compact point-and-shoot camera built around a 6MP sensor with a 1/2.5-inch sensor size, processed through Ricoh's Smooth Imaging Engine. Maximum still output reaches 2816x2112 pixels, with support for burst shooting at up to 2fps. The camera incorporates Sensor-Shift (IBIS) image stabilization to counteract hand movement during shooting.
Its body is constructed from plastic with metal accents, measuring 95 x 53 x 26 mm and weighing 135g — a genuinely compact package. The 2.5-inch TFT LCD with 153,000 dots handles all framing and playback duties. Autofocus relies on contrast detection with single-point operation, and manual focus is also selectable.
The built-in flash supports Auto, Red-eye Reduction, On, Slow Synchro, and Off modes. ISO sensitivity runs from 64 to 800, and four color profiles — Vivid, Normal, Neutral, and Black and White — allow basic in-camera image customization. Storage is via SD card, and connectivity includes USB.
The DB-60 Lithium-Ion battery is rated for approximately 330 shots per charge.
