Description — Samsung WB690
The Samsung WB690 is a point-and-shoot compact camera built around a 12MP, 1/2.3-inch sensor, housed in an aluminium and plastic body measuring 105 x 58.9 x 24.9 mm and weighing just 203g. Image stabilization is provided via Optical IS (OIS) with a digital IS option also available, helping keep shots sharp during handheld use. The autofocus system combines contrast detection and face detection AF, and subject tracking is supported for keeping moving subjects in focus.
For fast sequences, burst mode delivers up to 6fps. The 3.0-inch fixed LCD with 230,000 dots serves as the sole framing and review interface — there is no viewfinder. ISO sensitivity spans 80 to 3200, and a built-in flash is included.
Video is recorded at up to 30fps in 8-bit color. Storage uses SD, SDHC, or SDXC cards, and the camera outputs to external displays via Micro HDMI. Battery life is rated at approximately 200–250 shots per charge.
