Description — Samyang 85mm f/1.4 WS Mk2
The Samyang 85mm f/1.4 WS Mk2 is a manual focus prime lens designed for the Sony E mount mirrorless system. Operating at a maximum aperture of f/1.4, it offers strong light-gathering capability across an 85mm telephoto focal length — a combination well-regarded for portraits and controlled compositions. The lens is built to cover a full-frame image circle, ensuring compatibility with both full-frame and APS-C Sony E mount cameras without vignetting concerns on larger sensors.
At 593g, the lens has a solid, confidence-inspiring build while remaining practical for extended handheld use. The 72mm filter thread means standard-size filter accessories integrate without the need for step-up rings. There is no autofocus mechanism and no image stabilization — this is a lens designed for deliberate, manual shooting where the photographer takes direct control of focus.
For Sony E mount shooters already comfortable working manually, the WS Mk2 delivers a fast f/1.4 aperture in a prime telephoto package.
