The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX99 is a compact point-and-shoot camera featuring an 18MP sensor with a 1/2.3-inch format and Sony's BIONZ X image processor. It captures stills at up to 4896x3672 pixels with a burst rate of 10fps, and records video at up to 4K with frame rate options of 24fps, 30fps, 60fps, and 120fps in 8-bit color. The ISO range runs from 80 to 12800.
Autofocus combines contrast detection, face detection, and eye detection AF across a 9-point grid, with subject tracking enabled. The 3.0-inch tilting TFT LCD touchscreen delivers 921,600 dots of resolution, while the built-in OLED EVF resolves 638,400 dots at a 60Hz refresh rate.
