The Sony NEX-6 is a compact mirrorless camera centered on a 16MP APS-C sensor processed by Sony's BIONZ engine. The ISO range spans 100 to 25600, supporting a broad range of lighting scenarios. Its hybrid phase and contrast-detection AF system works across 99 focus points with subject tracking enabled.
Burst shooting reaches 10fps at a maximum resolution of 4912x3264 pixels. Eight color profiles — including Vivid, Portrait, Landscape, and Black & White — apply to both stills and video. Video recording tops out at 1080p with 24fps, 30fps, and 60fps options at 8-bit depth.
Framing is handled by a 2.36 million dot OLED EVF or a 3.0-inch tilting LCD at 921,000 dots. Built-in Wi-Fi enables wireless connectivity, and output is available via Micro HDMI. Storage options include SD, SDHC, SDXC, and Memory Stick cards.
