The Viltrox Pro AF 27mm f/1.2 (Sony E) is a fast APS-C prime with a 55.3-degree angle of view and a bright f/1.2 maximum aperture, built around an optical design of 15 elements in 11 groups that includes 2 ED elements. The 11-blade diaphragm stops down to a minimum of f/16, giving a broad working range across different lighting conditions. Autofocus is powered by an STM (Stepping Motor), with support for Eye and Face AF and Animal AF modes — a welcome addition for portrait and wildlife applications.
A manual/autofocus switch is built into the barrel for quick control. The all-metal body is weather resistant and features metal electronic contacts with full EXIF support. A USB-C port allows direct firmware updates in the field.
