Description — Yuneec Mantis G
The Yuneec Mantis G packs a 13 MP camera on a 1/3-inch sensor into a foldable plastic composite body that weighs just 505g and collapses to 171 x 97 x 60 mm for easy transport. When unfolded, it measures 250 x 195 x 60 mm. The camera captures stills at up to 4160x3120 px and shoots 4K video at frame rates of 24fps, 25fps, and 30fps in 8-bit color.
Color profiles — Natural, Saturated, and Soft — are available across both photo and video modes. Footage is kept smooth by a gimbal stabilization system rather than digital compensation. The autofocus system uses contrast detection with 1 focus point and supports subject tracking.
ISO sensitivity runs from 100 to 3200. Files can be saved to microSD or internal storage, and the drone connects to smartphones via Wi-Fi for control and monitoring through a smartphone app. The 3S LiPo 2800mAh battery delivers up to 33 minutes of flight time per charge.
Note that the body carries no weather sealing, so operation in adverse conditions is not recommended.
Pros — Yuneec Mantis G
- ✓Up to 33 minutes flight time on the 3S LiPo 2800mAh battery — strong endurance for this form factor

- ✓4K video recording at 24fps, 25fps, and 30fps with multiple color profiles (Natural, Saturated, Soft)
Cons — Yuneec Mantis G
- ✗1/3-inch sensor is relatively small, which may limit low-light performance (ISO maxes at 3200)
- ✗No weather sealing means the drone should be kept away from rain or dusty conditions
- ✗Single contrast-detection AF point with no phase-detection system may struggle in fast-moving scenarios
