This Canon 40D with battery grip BG-E2, 16gb Sandisk Ultra CF card, and 2 Canon batteries is a great beginner camera for someone with a Canon rebel budget but wants something with a bigger grip. This camera includes the grip because the shutter button has the infamous problem of being unreliable. I used it with the grip the whole time I have had it and found it very nice to use for wildlife and portraits. This camera has been well loved so there is some paint chipping around the strap rings. There is one other issue besides the shutter button which is the automatic sensor cleaning function does not work.  The sensor is not spotless but it is quite clean given the age and the couple spots visible are only noticeable at apertures smaller than f/16. The screen is in very nice condition with only minor scuffing. All buttons (except shutter) work flawlessly. The Canon 40D has never disappointed me from wildlife to family weddings, and everything in between. Save some money on an older camera body and put it towards a nicer lens.
