Camera Overview — Sony 7R II
Key Features — Sony 7R II
42.4MP Full-Frame BSI-CMOS Sensor: The back-illuminated full-frame sensor captures images at up to 7952x5304 pixels, delivering exceptional detail and improved light-gathering efficiency over front-illuminated designs.
5-Axis In-Body Stabilization: Sensor-shift stabilization operates independently of the lens, making it effective with adapted manual glass and any native Sony E-mount optic that lacks built-in optical stabilization.
399-Point Hybrid Autofocus: A combined Phase Detection and Contrast Detection system with 399 focus points covers a wide area of the frame for fast, accurate focusing across stills and video.
Eye Detection & Face AF: Eye Detection AF and Face Detection AF allow the camera to lock onto and track subjects automatically, reducing the need for manual focus point adjustment during portrait or candid shooting.
4K Video with S-Log Profiles: Internal 4K recording at up to 30fps is paired with S-Log2 and S-Log3 color profiles, giving videographers a flat image with greater dynamic range to work with in color grading.
120Hz Electronic Viewfinder: The 2,359,296-dot EVF refreshes at 120Hz, providing a smooth, lag-reduced live view that makes it easier to track moving subjects and assess exposure in real time.
