Canon 8-64mm ​T/2.4 ​hurt locker s16 zoom converted Abakus 132 B4​ PL super 16

Canon made the 8-64 in a b4 mount. They don't pop up often. The b4 version has an internal 2x adapter in the back! I had the PL mount version of this lens but once I discovered this lens is optically the same I quickly sold off my original PL mount version for 9k. Of course this is not IDENTICAL in it's mechanics to the 8-64mm. But the glass inside is doing the same thing, probably largely due to the coatings and era of this lens and the PL 8-64mm. The downside on B4 version is ​that it is not as nice of a build and it doesn't natively have 0.8 gears. Those ​0.8 pitch gears have been added to these lenses. This lens sale will include the Abakus b4 to PL "132" 1.4x adapter which is the best version of any of the B4 to PL adapters. It will ship with the adapter attached. It is removable if you need the native B4 mount for other adapting.

The lens has character, beautiful flares and retains sharpness at the same time. ​

Upsides to this housing: ​2x internal switch ​Backfocus knob for easy calibration to make parfocal on uncalibrated PL mounts - say a sony e to PL adapter. ​B4 mount is very easily adaptable to S35 and the 2x adapter can make it cover FULL FRAME!

It's losing stops but if you're shooting exterior daylight you won't have issues getting exposure.

2x adapter makes it mostly cover s35 with this adapter. Because the Abakus adapter is maximizing performance for s16 it will cover s35 with the 2x on at the widest and the image circle shrinks as you zoom in. If you use the lens for its intended purpose on s16, you will not notice this at all.

This copy of the lens has some glass imperfections.

Micro scratch is near on the edge of the rear element and some separation near the front elements.

None of this appears in the image at any T stop.

The Abakus adapter to PL is in perfect condition on the optics with some wear on the housing. Contact me for more photos and video shot on this lens. I'm also selling:
